Chase credit card protection?

I had a couple of unknown and unauthorized charges to my credit card company from chase. I was really concerned so I told them about it and they immediately issued me a credit/refund on those unauthorized transactions. I am curious about a couple of things. Is there a limit to how many credits Chase can give you if you should ever have unauthorized charges again? In other words how many times will they protect you before they say NO MORE? Also how many unauthorized charges will it take for Chase to automatically cancel your card? I mean can they just cancel your card without your permission or do they need your permission to shut it out first? thank you!

If you continue to get the charges, Chase will work with you till there is no more but if it continues to happen the card will be investigated. They can block your account from being charged, but Chase generally does not just close out credit card accounts. The only way they close out accts w/o your permission is if your deliquent, or the account has a long period of inactivity.
That’s why it’s good to always have a back up card.
Use the other credit card while things with chase clear up.
Be careful what you order onlline.

These are really questions you should be looking up on Chase’s website.
But in the case of fraud, a lot of fraudulent charges come in waves … so if you submitted the same dispute as a few hundred other customers Chase probably didn’t even hesitate to reverse the charges.
The hard fraud for Chase to handle is ID theft. In those cases you would need to supply a police report and documentation.
